Toddler Room News

We are so excited that the warm weather has arrived. We have been able to enjoy more outdoor time which has led to some new interests for the toddlers.

We were lucky once again this year as a Mother Robin built her nest on top of last years pre-existing nest. This allowed the children to get an up close and more personal look at mommy birds and their babies. We were able to watch the Robin keep her eggs, (4 all together) warm until they hatched. We then were able to see both the Mommy and Daddy bring worms back to the nest. The babies were a huge hit and now they are off into the big world!

Along with this season comes the insects too. We love insects! So far, we have found and intently watched ants, worms, and spiders! We are waiting patiently for more.

A reminder that our yard has plenty of sunshine! We welcome the sun, but we would also like to be cautious. We do apply sunscreen daily however a sun hat would also be beneficial.

We are starting to work on summer schedules. If there are any vacations or changes to your child’s schedule, please let us know. We have provided a page in our sign in book for you to write in any changes that you know of. Two weeks notice is appreciated.

Happy Father’s Day to all our dad’s and grandpa’s, hope you had a great day.

Just a reminder that Story Book Early Learning Centre will be closed Monday July 2nd for Canada Day.
