Wow, February already! January flew right by and we have had a few new babies join us in our room. We are excited to be a part of their journey and they have settled in beautifully. Our babies are still enjoying the Little People play sets. We included some cars and a bus, and they love putting the people and animals in and out of them.
We added some new building/mirrored stones to our room that the babies absolutely love! They have fun trying to stack them, which is a huge challenge due to their shape and smooth texture, and of course knocking them all down is so fun too. The best part about the stones is that they can see themselves in the reflection. Every one of our babies has spent endless moments watching intently as they smiled, laughed, and just looked at themselves with curiosity.
We have also been reading books containing familiar nursery rhymes and listening to lots of music. Our babies love to dance and rock to the beat! Our favourite songs are Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, London Bridge, Row Row Row your Boat, Baa Baa Black Sheep and of course Baby Shark.
Valentine’s Day is usually a fun day for the children but unfortunately this year we won’t be able to pass out Valentines due to COVID 19 regulations. We look forward to talking about Valentine’s Day and how we can celebrate it, expressing love and friendship for each other. Friday February 12th will be our day of celebration, so join us in wearing red, white, or pink.
