Toddler Room #1 News
Summer is officially here! An end to another ‘school year’. The next two months are sure to fly by. We look forward to everything summer has to offer.
The toddlers have been having fun learning all about the ocean and ocean animals. The sandbox and water play outside have also been some of the preferred activities this month.
We go outside twice daily, and although we do apply sunscreen, we ask that you also send or leave a sun hat in your child’s cubby. This helps to protect your child from the hot sun.
Thank you for letting us know the days/weeks you plan to be away. For those with holiday plans we wish you wonderful trips filled with beautiful new memories.
Just a reminder that we are closed Monday, August 5th for the Civic Holiday.
Toddler Room #2 News
Summer is officially here! We have been having so much fun outside. Colouring with chalk, blowing bubbles, and playing in the sandbox are some of the toddlers’ favourite outdoor activities. In an effort to keep cool, we have also spent a lot of time doing water play, whether it be in the water table or painting with wet brushes.
Animals were also a popular topic in the month of June. We learned all about ocean, farm, and zoo animals. We had so much fun doing face paint on the toddlers and turning them into their favourite animals. After the children saw their painted faces in the mirror they would demonstrate their best animal noises.
If you have any vacation planned during the summer, please let us know ASAP as this helps us to plan staffing accordingly.
Reminder: Story Book ELC will be closed Monday, August 5th for the Civic Holiday. Enjoy your long weekend!
