Kindergarten News
November 2026
Now that Halloween is behind us, our students are ready to shed the black and orange and move along to other exciting things.
First off, we always make note to acknowledge Remembrance Day and speak of the soldiers that fought for our freedoms. We will learn about the poppy, what it represents, and proudly wear them over our hearts on November 11th.
World Kindness Day falls on Friday, November 13th this year. It’s a day that our kindergarten crew always look forward to. Every year we kick off this month with our “Kindness campaign”, where we brainstorm ideas to brighten the days of those around us. In the past, we have surprised our parents with special crafts, created a variety of artwork for the residents at Iler Lodge, and invited the school-agers to spend an afternoon in our classroom while sharing in various activities. What will we come up with this year? Stay tuned!
Our first P.A. Day for this school year falls on Friday, November 20th, and our list of attendees just keeps on growing! Our kindergarten crew is looking forward to a day filled with fun, games, and likely . . . a LOT of laughter! We absolutely LOVE the opportunity to spend the entire day together doing all the things that we love best!
You may have noticed that our Kindergarten bulletin board is finally up and running. Have you seen our smiling faces as you walk in the door? It’ll be the perfect place to display our artwork and post the learning stories, that’ll give you a glimpse of what we do in our room. Also, just a reminder, to check out our file box on occasion to find your child’s artistic treasures and other important things.
