Toddler Room #1 News

June 2026

Summer is quickly approaching and the end of another “school” year.  We ask that you inform the teachers in your classroom of any scheduled vacations you may have. This helps with summer staffing.

June is when gardens begin to grow and when early crops (like strawberries) are ready.

We will be talking about the different fruits and vegetables your child is eating and which ones they like best. We will also learn about their colours and their different textures such as the bumpy broccoli, the smooth apple and the prickly pineapple.

We are looking forward to seeing what this month brings and where their interests lead us.

With warmer weather upon us, we ask that you consider leaving a labelled hat in your child’s cubby for the summer.  We’re out 2 times a day and, as we all know that sun can get very hot.

We would also like to wish a Happy Father’s Day to all our Dads and Grandpas.

Toddler Room #2 News

June 2026

We have been loving our time outside as the weather has been much nicer!  Our toddlers have been busy riding bikes, cutting the grass, pushing babies in the stroller, and serving up French fries from the “drive thru” window in the playhouse. They have been very patient with the customers and are a very hard working group .

Our toddlers have also noticed the robins outside. There is a nest in the preschool yard’s gazebo. Our children can see the Mommy bird fly away, gather worms, and bring them back to the babies. We were even lucky enough to see the babies learning to fly around the yard preparing to try again . Our toddlers have also been pointing out the birds hopping through the grass outside our window. It is very exciting! This led to a large group all about birds and creative activities too!

We are nearing summer vacations, so we would appreciate it if you could let us know about any time off or changes to your child’s schedule. This will help us with summer staffing.

We would also like to remind parents that we do provide sunscreen. The brand is Degil Sun and it is SPF 30. If for any reason you would prefer us to not apply this sunscreen, we would be happy to apply an alternate sunscreen provided by you.

Last but certainly not least, we would like to wish all the Dads and Grandpas a very Happy Father’s Day! We hope your day is filled with relaxation, laughs and a zillion tiny hugs

Reminder that we will be closed, Wednesday, July 1st, for Canada Day.
