Infant 1 News
October 2026
Fall is officially in full swing and the babies are loving it. We have started to create fall themed artwork, as the babies have noticed the leaves falling and blowing during our walks and time in the yard. We will continue to decorate our classroom with all things fall and engage in some fun fall and Halloween themed sensory experiences.
As the weather continues to get cooler, we ask that our families please leave a labelled sweater or jacket at school for your little ones. This is also the perfect time to check your child’s cubby for any summer extra clothing and replace it with more weather-appropriate options.
Just remember that we do go outside every daily! Our older infants do get to enjoy the toddler playground, and we ask that any families of our steady-walking babies provide appropriate outdoor footwear with hard soles. Thank you!
This month is also our yearly open house, which will take place on Tuesday, October 27th at 6-7pm. On this night, we invite our families to dress their little ones in their Halloween costumes and enjoy trick-or-treating at each of our classrooms. We can’t wait to see everyone there! We will also be celebrating Halloween on Friday, October 30th with orange and black day. We please ask for no costumes that day.
Reminder we are closed on Monday, October 12th for Thanksgiving. Hope everyone enjoys the holiday with all their loved ones.

October 2026
Infant 2 is filling up and off to a great start! As our little ones adjust to their new surroundings, they are also becoming familiar with all the new faces in our room. Watching them start to recognize each other’s faces, and names is such rewarding experience!
As we dive into the Fall season, our little ones are putting their fine motor skills to the test. They’ve been experimenting with bingo dabbers to colour apples, pumpkins, and much more. They are also learning to use their spoons at snack time, another fine motor skill our crew is developing with great success.
Chasing bubbles and spontaneous dance parties are a huge hit in our infant room and great for developing gross motor skills. The music doesn’t even have to be playing, if the room is singing, these little ones are moving their bodies!
As the cooler weather approaches, dressing your child in layers, or sending along a sweater/jacket is very much appreciated. Although the sun usually shines during our afternoon outdoor time, our mornings are still quite chilly.
In the month of October, you and your little ones may have a few fun dates to look forward to:
October brings Thanksgiving on Monday, the 12th, please keep in mind we will be closed for the holiday. We hope you all have a wonderful day celebrating everything you’re thankful for.
Right after Thanksgiving, brings all things spooky. We will be celebrating the Halloween season with our annual Halloween Open house, on October 27th from 6-7pm. We would love you to join us, as we love seeing everyone in their costumes, although not required. Finally, we will end the month with Orange & Black day on October 30th; we ask for no costumes that day but instead dress your child in orange and black.
