School Age News

July 2026

One, two, three and breathe, we did it!  We just made it through another school year. Go ahead and pat yourselves on the back. Great job everyone!

In June, we had some fun with paper clips, Perler beads, and enjoyed some more outdoor time. We even learned how to play marbles and some of us are even becoming pros.

As we turn our focus to the summer months, we ask that every child attending our summer program bring a labelled reusable water bottle daily. We have access to refilling stations and spend a lot of our days outside so staying hydrated is important. We also ask that you send labelled sunscreen with your child and a hat. Footwear is also important; we highly encourage running shoes or sandals with straps for outdoor time. There will be some trips in which proper footwear will be required, more details will be sent prior to those days.

We have planned quite a fun and engaging summer program, including special trips and walking excursions throughout the town. Please refer to the calendar for special themes and dates. There will be reminders sent for water days, special days, and lunch provided days etc. However, it is best to keep the calendar handy, so you don’t miss a beat!

Please note that Storybook will be closed on Monday, August 3rd for the Civic Holiday.
