“April Showers Bring May Flowers”

Easter was very early this year, and it was a fun way to start off the first full month of spring. We hope the Easter bunny brought lots of chocolate treats.

April also brought us a roller coaster of cold and warm and wet and dry weather. Despite this we managed to get outside most of the time. Mornings can still be chilly; please make sure you send your child with the appropriate clothing to wear for the day.

In the middle of April, we did a little switch of classrooms. This change seems to be working well, and the children are enjoying their new rooms.

The children also have helped to create a blossoming back drop on our bulletin board at the door with colourful flowers. Take a moment to enjoy it during drop off and pick up.

Along with the flowers, we have been creating self portraits using stencils. Come see our exhibit above the desk, they are so sweet! Some of the children’s traits really came out in these portraits.

In the month of May, we will continue to have as much outdoor time as possible. We are also continuing with the game of Jeopardy. We will be challenging the children as we create more questions, as the game has been very well received.

Just a reminder, we will be closed on Monday May 18, 2026, for the Victoria Day Holiday.
