The month of March is finally here, and we’re anxious to see if an old wives’ tale is true! “If March comes in like a lion, will it go out like a lamb”? We’ll be tracking the weather each day and marking it on our calendar. Will our days be filled with cold, grey skies (lions), or bright sunny days (lambs)? Stay tuned to find out!
A few fun days are popping up on our Holiday Everyday calendar . . .
On Tuesday, March 5th, we’ll try to talk our way into a special afternoon treat, as it’s National Cheese Doodle (cheese twists) Day.
On Thursday, March 12th our kindergarten crew will work together, through the steps of planting a flower. We’ll start with prepping a pot, adding soil, planting the seed, adding water, etc. We’re hoping to bring some Spring-like vibes to our kindergarten classroom on National Plant A Flower Day.
Do we believe in superstitions? Should we take a chance? Will we really open an umbrella indoors on “Open an Umbrella Indoors” Day?
The week of March 16th – 20th is sure to be a huge hit with our kindergarten “staycationers”, as an abundance of fun activities and special theme days have been planned for those in attendance. Without giving away all our surprises, we do know that our crew will be donned in green and gold on the 17th as we search for leprechauns and rainbows. We’ll learn all about the St. Patrick’s Day traditions in Ireland, and hope to experience the luck of the Irish, right here, in our classroom!
Our creative kindergarten friends will get crafty on the 27th as we celebrate National Scribble Day, and again on March 31st on National Crayon Day.
Here in the kindergarten room, we’re all about fun and friendship and celebrating our “silly” days is just a part of the program.
