Infant Room #1

Christmas bells are ringing, and everyone is starting to feel the excitement of the Christmas holidays!  It’s such an exciting time here at school as the children help put out our Christmas trees and create so many fun Christmas ornaments and artwork. Our babies absolutely love the Christmas books and our interactive tree where they can take the ornaments and star off and put them back on. We have been able to see and talk about all the beautifully decorated houses along our walks too! All we need is a little snow.

You may have seen a new face in our room. We would like to welcome Ms. Ashley.  She is a second-year student at St. Clair College. She is joining us on her placement until December 15. We are excited to see what fun activities she will bring to us as we all learn together.

Recently we have been experimenting different ways to make marks. We have been finger painting, sponge painting, driving cars with markers attached to them as well as bingo dabbing.

We are having a toy/canned good drive for local charities. If you choose to participate, please have donations in by December 15th. Boxes for these items can be found at the front entrance if you choose to participate.

A reminder that we will be closed December 24th through to January 2nd.  We are open again on Tuesday January 3rd . We truly hope that everyone has an amazing holiday this year and can celebrate with friends and family oncagain.

If your childcare needs are different during the week of December 20th or the first week of January, please let the staff know.

Have a wonderful Christmas and a happy, happy New Year!!

Infant Room #2

Our favourite time of year is here! Christmas music, crafts, sensory activities and decorating both our toy and flannel trees. These are just some of the fun things we are looking forward to.

We have had lots of fun playing outside and going for walks. Hopefully the weather continues to cooperate. We have also had lots of fun with the tunnel, books and the barn with farm animals.

Thank you for sending warm coats, snow pants and labelled hats and mittens.

Please let the teachers know about any changes to your babies schedule this month.
