Infant Room #1
With Christmas just around the corner we hope to see some snow so that we can enjoy a white Christmas. The children have been busy creating beautiful artwork to decorate the classroom and we will send them home before the holidays to decorate your homes. Just a reminder Story Book Early Learning Centre will be closed Monday, December 25th to January 1st , 2024 and we will reopen on January 2nd , 2024 at 6 AM. For any of the children with older siblings that don’t return to school until January 8th, please let us know if your child will not be in attendance. We wish all our families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Just a reminder to make sure that you are sending hats, mittens, and a warm snowsuit daily, as we continue to go on our walks. As long as the weather is nice and there’s not too much snow, we can still utilize the yard for the infants who are walking. Please make sure all of your little one’s items are labeled.
The infants have been very interested in music and movement/dancing as of lately. To promote this interest, we have added musical instruments to the classroom and have been utilizing things like movement ribbons, felt stories, and videos to promote dancing and movement. For the month of December, we will discuss all things Christmas. Come January we will focus on Winter and all the fun activities that coincide.
Infant Room #2
Christmas bells are ringing, and everyone is starting to feel the excitement of the Christmas holidays! It’s such an exciting time here at school as the children create so many fun Christmas artworks and do holiday sensory activities. Our babies absolutely love the Christmas books we have been reading together and the interactive tree in our classroom. As the babies decorate and redecorate the tree throughout the day, we have been singing Christmas songs and doing holiday fingerplays together. Their smiles tell us they love the holidays just as much as we do!!
A reminder that we will be closed December 23rd through to January 1st. We are open again on Tuesday January 2nd. We hope that everyone has an amazing holiday and are able to celebrate lots of memories together.
If your child will have a different schedule during the holidays, please let the staff know .
