We hope that everyone had a great Canada Day and enjoyed their long weekend with family and friends!
We are so excited that summer is finally here, and while the next two months will go by fast, we are really looking forward to what summer has to offer. The babies have been having so much fun engaging in water play inside. We hope to continue this interest throughout the beautiful summer days and explore our water play tables outside as well. On days that it is too hot to go outside, we will be engaging in indoor gross motor time, using our slide, trampoline, ball pit, and much more.
This past month, the babies have also been really interested in transportation. Our older infants have been pointing at cars, trucks, and planes while outside. To promote this interest, we put photos of all sorts of transportation on our sight board to further encourage in recognizing and naming the familiar vehicles.
Just a reminder that we will be closed Monday, August 3rd for the Civic Holiday. Also, please let us know if your child will be out for any summer vacations if you haven’t done so already, as this helps us with staffing. Thank you!

We are so excited that summer has officially arrived! We are looking forward to all the summer fun including water days, outdoor adventures and so much more.
Last month, the babies worked hard creating special Father’s Day gifts. We hope all our dads and father figures had a wonderful day and enjoyed their keepsakes.
In June, we made Canadian flags with the babies while learning about the colours red and white. We hope everyone enjoyed celebrating and that the babies had a relaxing day off with their families.
Our infants are continuing to build their independence each day. They are practicing using spoons at mealtimes, putting toys away during clean-up, and using simple words or gestures to communicate their needs. We encourage families to practice these skills at home as it to helps build confidence and consistency. Some of our friends are also busy practicing their first steps, and we are excited to celebrate these special milestones as they grow and prepare for their transition to the toddler room.
We are looking forward to making many special summer memories together! As a reminder we will be closed August 3rd for the Civic Holiday.
