Infant Room #1 News
June 2026
We are so excited and hopeful that the nice weather is finally here to stay. The babies have been loving their stroller rides through the neighbourhood, and our walkers are enjoying the playground daily. We have been lucky enough to stop at the swings on our morning walks. With the weather getting warmer, we ask that everyone please bring a labelled sun hat for our outdoor adventures, as well as extra clothes for water play.
We have welcomed many new babies into our room this past month, and we are so excited to get to know all your little ones and watch them grow. We are sad to see our older friends move up to the toddler room, but we know that they will have so much fun on their new adventure. Sadly, our family tree is starting to look bare again. If you have not done so already, we would love it if our families could send us a family photo to display in our classroom.
For the month of June, we will begin to focus on all things summer, including engaging in water play and other sensory experiences, as well as making summer-themed artwork to decorate our classroom and your fridges at home. We will also be celebrating Father’s Day in the month of June by creating beautiful artwork for our dads and grandpas.
Just a reminder we will be closed on Wednesday, July 1st for Canada Day.
Infant Room #2 News
June 2026
Welcome June! Summer has almost arrived, and we are so excited for a month filled with sunshine, as we watch our little ones grow and explore. To make sure our babies stay safe and comfortable during our outdoor time, please bring in a sun hat, and spare change of clothes appropriate for the weather. We ask that everything is clearly labeled with your child’s name.
In May the infants loved role-playing by taking care of their baby dolls, putting little people in the dollhouse, and stomping the dinosaurs around the room. For babies, early role-playing builds their social and language skills such as sharing, empathy, and language.
We are absolutely thrilled to welcome some wonderful new faces to our infant room this month. We look forward to meeting all our new friends and watching them grow.
With summer vacations quickly approaching, please inform us of any time your child will be scheduled out as this helps us to plan staff accordingly.
We would also like to send a Happy Father’s Day to all our incredible Dads, Grandpas, and Uncles on Sunday, June 21st! We hope you enjoy your day!
Reminder Story Book Early Learning Centre will be closed on Wednesday, July 1st for Canada Day.
