It’s Fall, Y’all! We want to send out a special thank you to all who participated in our Halloween Open House. We had a great turn out and we loved seeing all the infants in their cute little costumes.
With the cool weather quickly approaching we are asking parents to send hats, coats, mittens and shoes, if needed, so we can continue to get outside everyday and experience all that fall has to offer. Just a reminder to double check your child’s spare clothes to ensure they are seasonally appropriate and labeled.
We have been busy creating Fall and Halloween art to decorate our classroom and your homes. The children love to explore all different ways to make their creations.
This Fall our windows were painted by a local artist Talent by Tanya! The children have loved looking at the windows and learning what the scarecrows, pumpkins, ghosts and other illustrations are called.
With the seasons quickly changing we have been talking about everything Fall. The children have noticed on our walks, and daily play time outside, that the leaves are changing colours, the weather has gotten cooler, and they’ve even learned that the leaves on the ground are crunchy when they’re stepped on!
One last note, in recognition of Remembrance Day on Wednesday, November 11th, we invite everyone to wear red in honour of this important day of remembrance.

October was such a fun and exciting month in the Infant Room! We began the month by creating turkeys, cornucopias, and other festive crafts to celebrate Thanksgiving. We hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend and had a wonderful time celebrating with family and friends!
The infants explored a variety of art and sensory activities as we worked together to decorate our classroom for Story Book’s Halloween Open House on October 27th. A huge thank you to all the families who joined us and helped make it such a memorable evening filled with smiles and special moments!
We hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween, whether you went trick-or-treating or celebrated in your own special way! If your little one dressed up for Halloween, we would love for you to share a photo with us. We would be happy to display these pictures in our classroom so the children can see themselves and their friends in their costumes. This is a wonderful way to encourage a sense of belonging and connection within our classroom community. We have also been enjoying looking at our classroom family tree together! If you haven’t had a chance to send in a family photo yet, there is still time. We would love to include your family!
We also celebrated ECE Appreciation Day on October 21st! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who took the time to write a special message on a pumpkin for our pumpkin patch. Your kind words and thoughtful gestures mean so much to us! It is truly a pleasure to spend our days with your little ones, supporting their development, celebrating their milestones, and nurturing their growing interests through meaningful experiences and play.

Thank you for being such a wonderful part of our Story Book family! We look forward to another month of learning, exploring, and making special memories with your little ones!
