Kindergarten News
October 2026
Well, our first month together certainly flew by in a flash! Everyone is adjusting well to our new schedule and classroom routines. We are so proud of our SK crew and how they’ve taken on the role of caring for their new JK friends, as they are helping to make sure that everyone has a buddy, and no one gets left behind.
Our sticker charts have been introduced to our new friends, and it’s clear to see that we’ve got a GREAT JK/SK group this year! So many of them have already been “caught” being kind and helpful to their peers. Our charts are sure to fill up quickly!
Here, in the kindergarten room, we’ve heard a lot of stories about visits to the apple orchard on weekends with friends and family. We are looking forward to all things Fall in the coming month: changing leaves, pumpkin patches, and no more yellow jackets.
Soon enough, they will be expecting funny stories about a certain feathered friend, and a visit from none other than “Silly Turkey”! You never know when that little guy might show up or what kind of mischief he’ll get into!
And before long, our crew will be planning their Halloween costumes and dreaming of their loot bag treats. We’ll be making monster stew, reading lots of spooky stories, and guess who is hiding in the Halloween mystery bag each day.
Just a reminder, Story Book Early Learning Centre will be closed on Monday, October 12th for the holiday. We hope that you (and your families) enjoy the long Thanksgiving weekend!
