“Spring’s greatest joy beyond a doubt is when it brings the children out.” – Unknown

Welcome April! We are absolutely loving the nice weather we have been having. The babies have been enjoying walks in the stroller, as well as exploring the yard. Here they have started to notice signs of spring, such as birds, squirrels, and more. Just a reminder to continue to send weather-appropriate clothing as the weather continues to fluctuate. We also ask that all your child’s belongings come to school labeled so that nothing gets misplaced. Thank you!

This past month we have been talking about all things St. Patrick’s Day and Easter. The babies enjoyed creating lots of fun holiday-themed artwork and engaging in some fun sensory play. We hope to continue to support this interest by providing the babies with many more sensory exploration opportunities both inside the classroom and outside on the playground.

Last month we participated in Hats on for Health Care to raise money for Windsor Regional Hospital. Story Book proudly wore our hats and raised a total of $175.00 Thanks to everyone who donated!

Just a reminder that we are closed Friday, April 3rd and Monday, April 6th for the Easter holidays. We hope that everyone enjoys their long Easter weekend with their families!

It’s officially spring! We loved those sunny days in March, and we hope for many more in April. We ask that you please bring a pair of shoes for your child so we can explore the play yard.

We changed our display case to pictures related to Spring. The infants love to point at each picture and listen to the teachers explain what each photo is. The pictures include rainbows, raindrops, flowers, bees, other insects, and more. We will expand on this interest in the following months, with Earth Day coming, this is a perfect time. Please dress your child in blue and green on April 22nd to help celebrate.

Speaking of holidays, during the month of March we celebrated St. Patrick’s Day by making beards for leprechauns and creating four leaf clovers.

This month we get to celebrate Easter! We look forward to decorating Easter eggs and making Easter Bunnies. We will be closed Good Friday on April 3rd and Easter Monday on April 6th. We hope that you have the most wonderful time with your families and enjoy your egg hunts.
