We are hoping everyone is enjoying their summer! We have been getting out each morning before the heat hits. The babies love their time spent outside, especially when we bring out the water table or go for a long walk.
We are focused on self help skills during meal times by encouraging the infants to scoop with their spoons and helping them guide the spoon to their mouths. We also have been working on using their vocabulary or baby sign language to express their needs during this time.
We are so sad to see some of our older infants move up to the toddler room, but we know they will have so much fun on their new endeavours. We are excited to welcome some new little ones this month; we can’t wait to get to know them!
For the remainder of the summer, we will continue to focus on fun sensory experiences, such as sand, water, and ice play. We will also continue to decorate our classroom and send home lots of fun summer-themed artwork.
Just a reminder that we will be closed Monday, August 4th for the Civic Holiday and Monday, September 1st for Labour Day. We hope you all enjoy your long weekends.
