We certainly had fun celebrating all things “Halloween” in the past few weeks! From monster dance parties, to making monster stew, this Kindergarten crew loved celebrating all things spooky. After tales of trick-or-treating, and making candy comparisons, this group is ready to move on to a new month.
As November arrives, we are finding so many special days to celebrate.
On Tuesday, November 11th, our kindergarten crew will honour the veterans that fought so hard for our safety and well being. We will wear our poppies with pride and read stories about those who gave up so much to ensure our freedoms.
One of our favourite days to celebrate is Thursday, November 13th: World Kindness Day! Our students strive to be kind each day, as it is an integral part of our kindergarten classroom. However, on this day, we plan to share our kindness with others, in hopes that they too, will do kind things. Helping each other clean up toys, holding a door for others, letting a friend step ahead of you in line, etc., are such simple ways that even our youngest of learners can be proud of.
There is a scheduled P.A. Day on Friday, November 14th. Please let us know, as soon as possible, if your child will require care on that day.
As the weather is shifting to cooler temperatures, we’ll be talking more about how the animals cope. Listen for words like hibernation, migration, and adaptation, as we’re sure our kindergarten students will be eager to share all that they are learning.
To finish off the month, we are hoping to celebrate “National Vanilla Cupcake Day”! This one speaks for itself. A little tasty treat, after school, would certainly be a fun way to end the day!
