Toddler Room #1

Welcome Spring! We have been enjoying some really nice weather. The toddlers love our time on the playground. Riding tricycles, throwing & kicking balls and going down the slide. Please continue to send winter gear as our mornings have still been cold.

We finished off last month talking about farm life and animals. The toddlers loved naming the animals and matching the animal sounds with the animals. We love witnessing the growth & learning each day. We have been hearing so many new words. Learning our colours has also been going really well. We try to include colour discussion daily and our older toddlers are able to name most of them.

This month we are starting with Spring & Easter. The toddlers have already been spending a lot of time playing in the Easter sensory bin. Buckets, eggs, bunnies, and chicks are just some of the things hiding in the Easter grass.

Reminder that we are closed both Good Friday & Easter Monday. We hope you all enjoy a wonderful holiday weekend.

We raised $300 by participating in Hats on for Healthcare, supporting Windsor Regional Hospital. Thank you so much to those who donated.

Toddler Room #2

Welcome April! We are looking forward to the spring weather. During this past month we focused on learning our colours, music, St. Patrick’s Day, and feelings. While learning about different instruments the toddlers had so much fun learning how to play them and having dance parties. Over the week of March 17th , the toddlers dressed up in green and enjoyed singing five little leprechauns, going on a four leaf clover hunt, and finding the gold coin hidden under different coloured pots. The toddlers have recently started identifying their feelings and taking initiative to lend a helping hand to their friends. To encourage these amazing new skills, we began discussing emotions during circle and creative experiences.

As we move into April, our topics will change to celebrating Easter and playing fun age appropriate themed games such as having egg hunts and learning about the Easter bunny. We are excited to see where the toddler’s interests take us next.

Last month we participated in “Hats on for Healthcare” and raised money for Windsor Regional’s Paediatrics Program and NICU. Thank you to everyone who donated.

Reminder we will be closed on Friday April 7th  for Good Friday and Monday April 10th  for Easter Monday. Happy Easter, enjoy your holiday!
