Toddler Room #1

Summer is quickly approaching.  Please advise the staff as soon as possible with your childcare needs for the summer months including any scheduled vacation. This helps us to plan for staffing in the summer months.

We go outdoors twice daily (weather permitting) and are exposed to a lot of direct sun.  If you choose to send a hat with your child, make sure it is labelled with your child’s name.

The toddlers have been enjoying sensory play activities such as water play for small group time. The skills that are encouraged during these times are : social interactions with teachers as well as peers, language sensory explorations and fine motor development.

Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads and Grandpa’s. We hope you enjoy your day.

Just a reminder: Story Book ELC will be closed Friday July 1st for Canada Day. We hope you have a safe and happy holiday.

Toddler Room #2

Welcome June! We have been enjoying the beautiful weather. We have been having fun talking about insects. Circle time, small group time and outside times have been perfect times to have discussions about all kinds of bugs. The toddlers love to go on bug hunts around the classroom and playground.

With summer approaching, we have talked about all the colours we see outside. We plan on learning more about summer and the activities we can do in the warm summer sun. We are also exposed to a lot of sun in own yard. If you choose to send a hat with your child, please make sure it is labelled with your child’s name.

Happy Father’s Day to all our Dad’s and Grandpa’s! Enjoy your day!

Just a reminder we will be closed Friday July 1st for Canada Day!
