Spring is just around the corner and Spring Break will be here before we know it! Just a reminder that if there are any changes to your child’s schedule for March Break (March16-20) please let the staff know. This helps us to plan appropriately.
The children in our room have shown an interest in transportation by running to the window to look at the school buses each day. They have also been pointing out each time an airplane flies over us during outside time. Due to this interest, we talked a lot about transportation last month. The children enjoyed activities like driving cars through paint for art, giving the cars a car wash, painting a car made from cardboard and decorating paper airplanes. The children also learned new transportation songs and enjoyed singing some old favourite songs like “The Wheels on the Bus.”

We have been very busy lately, exploring many different interests such as seriation, filling and dumping, matching, and working together. Our biggest interest recently being textures. We have been having lots of fun exploring different textures such as sticky, rough, smooth, bumpy, etc.
Please remember to sign your child both in and out. This helps secure the safety of your child.
St. Patrick’s Day is Tuesday, March 17. Please dress your little Leprechaun in green. We are looking forward to participating in St. Patrick’s Day activities such as fill the pot of gold, make a rainbow and find the Leprechaun.
