Toddler Room #1

A special Thanks to all who came out to our Open House. It was a pleasure to be able to finally show our families our facility, while the children “Trick or Treated” room to room.

We would like to welcome any new families as well as new “babies” who moved up to our room from the Infant Room. Everyone seems to be settling nicely.

While celebrating Thanksgiving and of course Halloween, we were been busy singing songs about family, dinners, turkey, season changes and Halloween. One of our favourites being “the Ghost on Halloween” all the toddlers shout “boo!”

A gentle reminder with the weather changing, please remember to bring in warmer outer wear. Please label all personal belongings. Thank you for your cooperation.

Toddler Room #2

October was such a fun month in Toddler 2! We were very interested in collecting the fallen leaves and examining them. This sparked some learning experiences of how and why leaves change colours in the fall. We also talked about Thanksgiving and what we are thankful for. Family was our popular answer, how sweet!

The toddlers spent the most time getting ready for the big open house! Thank you so much for all of you who were able to make it. We had a blast seeing all the different costumes. We hope you enjoyed all the artwork and decorations the toddlers worked so hard on to make our room festive. The Halloween highlights seemed to be dressing up in different costumes and creating all the spooky art such as ghosts, Frankenstein, painting gourds to turn them into witches and more! Circle time is always a crowd favourite as well, the children got to sing Halloween songs and play Halloween games. Pin the ghost to the haunted house, toss the spider in the spider web and the Skelton dance got lots of giggles. We hope you all had a blast trick or treating, and we loved hearing all about it!

November is here which means colder weather is approaching. Please remember to send your child with a warm coat, hats, and mittens as we spend an hour outside in the morning and afternoon. We also ask that you label your child’s belongings as it’s a huge help. We are currently working on self-help skills and encouraging the toddlers to dress themselves. They are so proud when they can flip their coat on their own!

We can’t wait for the fun November brings!
