Toddler Room #1
The new toddlers have settled nicely into our room. During the month of October, we will have the opportunity to discuss all things Fall. We will discover the properties of pumpkins and apples. We will talk about Fall activities, cooler weather, and seasonal changes.
Please provide your child with the appropriate clothing for outdoor play. We are outside for an hour in the morning and again in the afternoon. If you could please label all your child’s belongings, this really helps when getting them ready.
We will be celebrating Halloween on Monday October 31st by dressing in orange and black. We do not wear costumes at school as it can be scary for some.
We will be closed Monday October 10th for Thanksgiving. We hope you enjoy the holiday with your family.

Toddler Room #2
Welcome Fall! We have been very excited to welcome many new friends into Toddler #2 over the past month! They have been successful in learning the classroom routines, engaging in circle and art activities, and creating meaningful lasting relationships.
We spent the month of September learning about the ocean through fun sensory crafts and activities as well as songs and games during circle. The water table with ocean animals seemed to be a huge hit! We also learned more about birthdays after a few toddlers celebrated theirs, it became a popular interest. We enjoyed wearing birthday hats, baking birthday cakes in the dramatic play centre and decorating balloons, crowns, cupcakes and more fun art.
We look forward to learning about Fall, Thanksgiving and Halloween during October. What a fun month we have ahead of us! We will celebrate Halloween by wearing orange and black on Monday, October 31st.
As the weather gets cooler, please remember to send your child in a warm jacket and hat for outside. We go outside once in the morning and again in the afternoon. We also ask that you label your child’s belongings, thank you.
Reminder: Story Book ELC will be closed Monday, October 10th for Thanksgiving. We wish all our families a wonderful holiday.
