April News
It’s April, the weather is getting warmer and allowing us to go outside more and more. We had fun last month talking about dinosaurs. The children have really enjoyed learning about all the different kinds of dinosaurs, we loved marching, clawing, and roaring around the room.
Last month we participated in Hats on for Health Care to raise money for Windsor Regional Hospital. Story Book proudly wore our hats and raised a total of $175.00 Thanks to everyone who donated!
This month we will be learning about Spring. We will focus on spring animals, the weather, and bugs. We will also continue to work on colour and shape recognition.
With the nicer weather approaching everyone becoming more active. Here are some great ways to get moving outdoors:
- Go for a walk and go to a park
- Go puddle jumping
- Play with bubbles
- Pass or kick a ball back and forth
Our outdoor clothing will also be changing. Please remember to label all your child’s clothing.
Just a reminder that we will be closed, April 3rd for Good Friday as well as April 6th for Easter Monday. We hope everyone will enjoy their long weekend.

April News
“April showers bring May flowers”
However, we are hoping for a lot of sunshine this month. It’s been a long winter, and we are so happy that it’s finally spring.
We talked a lot about dinosaurs last month. We also focused on colours and enjoyed learning all about St Patrick’s Day. The toddlers all wore green and had a lot of fun with the March sensory bin.

This month we are talking about Spring and of course Easter. We will continue to work on our colours and self-help skills as well.
As some of our older friends are moving on to the preschool room, we’re welcoming some new little friends again. We enjoy getting to spend our days with your toddlers .
Just a reminder we are closed for Good Friday on April 3rd and Easter Monday on April 6th. We hope you enjoy a wonderful Easter holiday with your family.
