Happy New Year!

We are looking forward to all the wonderful things a new year brings! As a class we worked hard to come up with some New Years resolutions, and some of our ideas were amazing. We decided to make a resolution as a class to continue leading with kindness everyday, to be respectful to each other, and our classroom.

We explored New Years traditions around the world and shared with one another our favourite ways to ring in the upcoming year. A few favourites were: banging pots and pans at midnight, having a dance party, eating yummy food, and watching the ball drop in NYC on TV.

We enjoyed a week of winter themed activities including hot cocoa day. That day was our favourite as we all worked together to follow the recipe and make a delicious treat. We also took a survey on favourite toppings to add to our hot cocoa. The clear winner was marshmallows and whipped cream, we called it the works!

Just a few reminders:

– January 19th is a PD Day, please let us know if you need care for your child/children.

-Please send your child with indoor shoes, as the winter weather can bring a mess to our classroom.

-We go outside for an hour in the morning and for an hour in the afternoon. Please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather.
