“A new school year means new beginnings, new adventures, new friendships, and new challenges. The slate is clean, and anything can happen.”

September is here and so is the end of summer! We have had an amazing two months: exploring, learning, and growing together.

We have gained a lot of knowledge and even got some real life experience this summer. We got to go to Domino’s pizza and learn how the store operates. We even got to make our own pizzas! We took a trip to the fire station and explored how the brave heroes in our town keep us safe and we even got a fire truck ride around town. We were fortunate enough to spend our time at the local library and our class really became book lovers.

We made new friends this summer and got to reconnect with friends we hadn’t seen since last year. Our favourite activities to do this summer were: building with numerous manipulatives, playing cooperative games, imaginative play, and spending our time outdoors. The teachers really took time to get to know each child’s interests and inquiries and incorporated that into our new learning. We planned each week with those interests and questions in mind. STEM week proved to be the most fun as we built our own roller coasters and explored many different scientific methods and experimented.

We are looking forward to all the adventures a new school year will bring!
