This past month the children have been enjoying all that the warmer weather ☀️ has to offer. Chalk, bubbles, water play💦, and sand are just a few of their favourites. Please make sure you send your child a hat 🧢 as we are outside for an hour in the morning and again in the afternoon. Also please check your child’s cubby to make sure that their spare clothes 👕🩳 match the summer season.
The children helped set up a grocery store🍎🌽🥦 in our dramatic play centre. The children took turns pushing the cart 🛒 , shopping, and checking out customers 📠. At clean up time we had different bins labeled grains, protein, dairy, and fruits and vegetables. The children helped sort all the food into the appropriate bins.
We turned our focus to farm 🚜👩🏽🌾. The children played in our farm small having fun playing with pig 🐖 figurines in mud and washing them in water, as well as practising how to milk a cow 🐄 using a rubber glove.
Some of our families in Preschool 3 have recently went camping 🏕. So we discussed what type of things to pack, where to sleep, and fun things to do like fishing🎣 . We read funny books about Curious George and Caillou going camping.
Moving into July our focus is on Dinosaurs 🦕🦖. Just a reminder we are closed on Friday, July 1st for Canada Day and Monday, August 1st for the Civic Holiday 🍦.
Please let the staff know about any vacation you may have that will affect your child/children’s schedule. This will help us with staffing through the summer months 😊.
