As the old saying goes, “March comes in like a lion, goes out like a lamb.” The JK/SK group will

be learning all about weather, and what these symbols mean. They’ll be documenting each and

every day, by placing a lion or a lamb on the calendar. At the end of the month, we’ll tally the

score, . . . and check to see if this old saying is, in fact, true!

According to our “Everyday Is A Holiday” calendar, March 7th  is National Cereal Day! Our

fabulous Chef Ian, has agreed to help us with a special snack to celebrate the day!

MARCH BREAK will be here before we know it. We have a super fun week, filled with special

theme days and activities, planned for the Kindergarten crew.

MONDAY – Crazy Sock Day! With Robert Munsch’s book, “Smelly Socks”, we will kick off our

shoes and show off how creative we can be!

TUESDAY – Jersey Day! We’ll read “Where Is My Hockey Sweater?” and create our very own

jerseys in the art centre.

WEDNESDAY – Hawaiian Day! Who couldn’t use a tropical vacation to get rid of those winter

blues? We’ll be playing Hawaiian themed games in the gym, and enjoying some island fruits, as

well!

THURSDAY – Tie Dye (Bright Colours) Day! Come to school decked out in your tie-dyed clothes,

or the brightest apparel you can find!

FRIDAY – Wear GREEN for St. Patrick’s Day! We’ll be celebrating all things Irish on this

particular day. We’ll learn all about leprechauns and their sneaky ways, the luck of the four leaf

clover, and other fun traditions that are popular on St. Patty’s Day!

Please let our staff know, as soon as possible, if your child will be requiring full/half day care

on any of the dates between Monday, March 13th and Friday, March 17th. Thanks!

Our Kindergarten crew will be finishing out the month with a couple more “silly” celebrations!

It’s “Something On A Stick” day on the 28th. What kind of snack will we be surprised with?

We’re hoping that the weather cooperates on the 30th, for “Take A Walk to the Park” Day.

Luckily, for us, the school has a wonderful park that’s not too far away!

Reminder, we will be closed on Friday April 7th for Good Friday and April 10th for Easter Monday.
