Infant Room #1 News

Last month we had so much fun talking about pets. The children loved looking at our wall display and finding their own pets. Thank you to all our parents for sending in pictures to bring a little piece of home to our classroom. The children enjoyed our pet wash water play activities and making artwork to celebrate our furry friends. We also brought out veterinarian supplies to allow the children an opportunity to explore new materials and take turns caring for some stuffed animals.

This month we will focus on Valentine’s Day and Shape exposure. We will be creating cute works of art for our families. We also will use this opportunity to expose the children to other shapes since we will be in heart overload! We will wear red, white, and pink on Wednesday, February 14th for Valentines Day.

Just a reminder we are closed February 19th for Family Day. Enjoy this special holiday with your littles.

Infant Room #2 News

Welcome to February. Although the weather has prevented us from getting the babies outside as much as we would like, we have all enjoyed watching the rain and snow fall from our windows. Seeing that the babies have enjoyed standing at the window so much lately we decided to put our family pictures on there for them to look at. They have really enjoyed pointing out the familiar faces they see in the pictures.

This month we will be busy with crafts, sensory activities, and play, based on the babies’ current interest in textures. We will be exploring fabric sensory bins, felt stories, texture tiles, and of course one of our favourites – finger paint.

Reminder: We will be closed on Monday, February 19th for Family Day. Enjoy the day with your families.

Wednesday, February 14th is Valentines Day, and we would like to encourage everyone to wear pink or red in celebration.
