Infant Room #1 News

Fall is officially in full swing, and the babies are loving it. We have started to create fall themed artwork, as the babies have noticed the leaves falling and blowing during our walks and time in the yard. We will continue to decorate our classroom with all things fall and engage in some fun fall and Halloween themed sensory experiences.

As the weather continues to get cooler, we ask that our families please leave a labelled sweater or jacket at school for their little ones. This is also the perfect time to check your child’s cubby for any summer extra clothing and replace it with more weather-appropriate options. Just remember that we do go outside twice daily! Our older infants do get to enjoy the toddler playground, and we ask that any families of our steady-walking babies provide appropriate outdoor footwear with hard soles. Thank you!

This month is also our yearly open house, which will take place Monday, October 27th from 6-7pm. On this night, we invite our families to dress their little ones in their Halloween costumes and enjoy trick-or-treating at each of our classrooms. We can’t wait to see everyone there!

We will also be closed Monday, October 13th for Thanksgiving. Enjoy your long weekend.

Infant Room #2 News

September is behind us, we have been busy! The babies are adjusting well, and we are all finding our groove. Throughout our first month together we have found that the babies enjoy bubbles, popping toys, and they really love books! We will be sure to add Halloween books to our book bin this month. The babies also like to climb in and out of things, our play tunnel and soft climbers will be great hits for sure.

We have been lucky to go outside on walks quite often, and the babies are very interested in all the cars, people, and pets they see. The babies always make people smile along the way . As more of our babies get steadier on their feet, the yard will be a perfect place to do some exploring!

As the days are getting colder, (we promise they will) we would like to remind parents to ensure their children have the proper clothing to stay warm. Outside time is only enjoyable if they are comfortable.

We are also excited to announce that we will be having our annual Halloween open house on Monday, October 27th from 6-7pm. This is a great night to mingle with staff and families, see the children dress in their favourite costumes, and trick or treat from room to room. It’s always a lot of fun!

A reminder that we are closed on Monday, October 13th for Thanksgiving Day. We hope everyone has a wonderful time spending it with all their loved ones.

Lastly, we would love if you could dress your infants in orange and black on Friday, October 31st. Happy Halloween!
