Infant Room #1

Welcome Summer! It’s hard to believe another ‘school year’ has come to an end. We are looking forward to the summer months and everything it has to offer. Lots of outdoor adventures,  playground fun and especially water play.

We are saying goodbye to some of our older friends this month. We are always sad to see them go, but we know they will absolutely thrive in their new environment.  We welcome some new little friends and can’t wait to get to know all the new personalities.

We hope you all enjoyed the Canada Day Holiday with family & friends.

Reminder to leave a sun hat and extra clothes in your child’s cubby.  Diaper mishaps, messy lunch & water play are just some of the reasons they may need to be changed. Your baby is  protected in the buggy with a canopy, but a sun hat is a must when playing in our yard. We use sunscreen and have a little shade but as you know the sun gets very hot.

Reminder that we will be closed August 4th for the Civic Holiday.

Infant Room #2

Summertime has arrived! Our babies have been noticing the birds, the insects and even the weeds on the other side of the fence (lol)!  We are lucky to have a robin that has built its nest in our pergola, which has given us so many opportunities to see the mommy bird fly in and out of the nest. As soon as they spot the birds, most of our babies are saying “tweet tweet”. We will have to get some pictures of birds to put up around the room to encourage more words and interactions.

Outside our infants have been most excited about the lawnmowers which they push around.  A few have mastered the slide, while others are working on perfecting their walking and climbing. As the weather is becoming hotter, we will be sure to include some water play where the babies can have fun and cool off all at the same time. If you could be sure that there is an extra change of clothes in their cubby for these days, that would be wonderful.

Last but not least, we are working out our summer schedules at this time.  If you could please let us know of any time off for vacations etc., in the months of July and August, it would be a great help. Thank you in advance!

A reminder that we will be closed for the Civic holiday on Monday, August 4th. We hope you have a perfect day!
