As summer comes to an end, we hope that everyone had a fantastic season and enjoyed their vacations. We had a blast talking about and experiencing summer during our small groups, outside time and our circle times.
During August, the children have been interested in superheroes, Disney, pets, llama llama, colours, recognizing their own names, and learning about animals. The children also started finding an interest in the ABC’s saying, “m is for mommy” and “d is for daddy”. We will build more on this interest in the coming months but will also focus on fall as the children have been showing an interest in the changing seasons. We started to see that some of the leaves on the trees are starting to change colour and this has piqued their interest about fall.
As we enter a new ‘school year’ we welcome all the new preschoolers, and their families to our classroom. We are going to have a blast learning and exploring the amazing ideas that the staff have planned.
Just a reminder we are closed on Monday, September 7th for Labour Day.
