Infant Room #1

Hello June! We are hoping that the beautiful weather is finally here to stay, and rainy days are no more. We have been spending lots of time on our playground with the steady walkers and we can’t wait for water play days in the sun. If you have not done so already, we ask that you please bring a labelled sun hat for your baby. Thank you!

This past month the babies have been really interested in bugs and spring animals that we see outside, such as birds and squirrels. We have added photos of these as well as other spring objects to our sight board.

Soon we will shift our focus to summer and all of the fun activities that come with it. Since we will be engaging in water play during the warm months, we ask that you ensure your child has a spare change of clothes in their cubby each day. Also, please let us know of any schedule changes or vacations your infant may be taking this summer as this helps us plan for staffing.

We would like to wish a very happy Father’s Day to all of our dads and grandpas, we hope you enjoy your special day.

Also, just a reminder that Story Book ELC will be closed Tuesday, July 1st for Canada Day.

Infant Room #2

Where oh where is time going?? June is upon us, and our infants have been so busy! There has been so much growth in our room all the way from learning to stand to adding new words to vocabulary.  Our youngest infants have been holding onto anything and everything as they pull up to stand and another has recently completed his first steps and is walking all over the place.  Our older infants have been absorbing all the language around them and are quickly picking up new words. The words may not be perfect just yet but they sure are sounding close!

We have moved on from farm animals and are now exploring with shapes and colours. We have added a few new toys and pictures that focus on colours, shapes and even some that contain sorting and matching.

Father’s Day is also approaching so our babies will be busy working on some special art for all the great dads we have. Sending out a big “Happy Father’s Day” to all the dads. We hope your day is wonderful!

Reminder that we will be closed Tuesday July 1st for Canada Day.
