Infant Room #1

Spring has sprung! Our Infant room is loving it. Long walks and so many things to do  in the playground for our older babies. Bikes, bubbles, chalk, lawnmowers and the slide are just some of the fun things we have been doing.

We hope everyone enjoyed  the Easter weekend. Your babies enjoyed Easter sensory activities, felt stories and pointing at the  new pictures on our Spring photo board.

With the warm weather approaching, we want to ask our families to please bring in a labelled sun hat. It can go back and forth, or some families find it easier to just leave one in their child’s cubby.

Now that spring has arrived, we will start applying sunscreen. Story Book will supply the sunscreen; we have an unscented paba-free hypo allergenic SPF 50 broad spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen. If you have chosen to use your own  sunblock, we ask that you apply it at home before arriving in the morning and if you would like it reapplied in the afternoon, please supply us with some.

Wishing a very Happy Mother’s Day to all our moms & grandmothers.  Enjoy your day

Reminder: Re-registration forms are due back Friday, May 30th.

Reminder that we are closed Monday May 19th , for Victoria Day. We hope all our families enjoy the holiday weekend.

Infant Room #2

Spring has sprung and I think we missed it! The days are getting very warm already and it brings to mind such things as sunscreen and sun hats  .  On this note if parents could start looking for those sun hats and a change of clothes better suited for summer days, it would be great.  Better to be prepared than caught off guard : ) We will also be needing shoes for the babies who are up and walking as we will be spending more time out in our yard. Warm weather is such a perfect time for bug hunts, perfecting our climbing as we go up and down the hill, going down the slide and so so much more exploring to do.

Our babies have had a lot of fun with the Easter toys. They absolutely loved the eggs as they could take them apart, try to put them back together, use them to fill up the Easter pails and carry them around.  We had a few stuffed bunnies too for a little snuggle here and there. Another favourite in our room is the basket of kitchen toys! They love to put things in the pans and on the plates. They use the giant spoons to stir things up and flip the food. In the month of May, our babies will be working on some special art for all the great mommies we have. We also will be seeing many signs of spring, so hopefully this will lead us to some new fun and discoveries .

A reminder that May 19th is Victoria Day, and we will be closed.  Enjoy the day and let’s hope for perfect weather!
