Toddler Room #1
It’s hard to believe it’s May already. The toddlers have been learning all about spring. Weather patterns, plants, birds, frogs & bugs are just some of the things we have talked about. We are looking forward to warmer weather as the toddlers just love our outside time.
This month we will continue with spring as well as talking about our moms. We would like to wish all of our moms & grandmothers a very Happy Mother’s Day. Enjoy your day!
Now that spring has arrived, we will start applying sunscreen. Story Book will supply the sunscreen; we have an unscented paba-free hypo allergenic SPF 50 broad spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen. If you have chosen to use your own sunblock, we ask that you apply it at home before arriving in the morning and if you would like it reapplied in the afternoon, please supply us with some.
A reminder that we are closed Monday May 19th for the Victoria Day holiday.
Reminder: Re-registration forms are due back Friday, May 30th.

Toddler Room #2
We’re so happy for warm sunny days! Now that the rainy days of April are past us, we look forward to getting outside every day. Just a reminder that we go outside twice a day for an hour at a time, please send a labelled sun hat for your child.
We will supply sunscreen that we apply in the morning and in the afternoon, if you do not want your child to wear our sunscreen, please provide your own, labelled with their name.
We also ask that you change out your child’s extra clothes to more weather appropriate attire. We also suggest providing a thinner blanket compared to a fleece one for rest time. Please take home your winter gear as the cubbies are getting very full!
The toddlers have started noticing the return of dandelions, birds and leaves back on the trees. We have also taken a great interest in our family pets. We added a pet picture wall that the children have loved looking at and telling their friends about their pets at home.
We would like to welcome all our new friends from the infant room. In the toddler room we like to encourage self help skills, this includes using a spoon and fork, learning how to take off their own shoes/put them on, and dressing for outside.
We look forward to getting to know your little one and helping them learn and grow!
