The children were interested in building boats with the small Lego pieces. We provided a water table to prompt and support a boat making activity. While exploring at the water table, the children used different materials for the boats and experimented with sink and float. They attached sails and blew through straws to make the boats move through the water.
It was fascinating to watch the children’s confidence grow. The boats became unique with motors, ladders and propellers and even a cup holder. The children were so excited to watch their boats float.
Its hard to believe we are down to the last month before “big” school starts. We are still practicing our phonics and spelling.
Just a reminder we will be closed Monday September 4th for Labour Day. Have a safe and enjoyable weekend.
