Thank you to the families that attended our Open House. It was an opportunity for us to share with you how learning happens in the classroom by following the interests of the children.
Earlier this month the children noticed the moon outside, but it was not a circle. This interest took us to outer space and we have been learning about the 8 planets, the sun and the moon. We made puffy paint moons, coffee filter planets and mirror paint aliens. We also ate moon cakes for snack.
The children enjoyed jumping on the trampoline to get a better understanding of what it would be like to walk on the moon where there is no gravity. Finally we got aboard our spaceship (the climber outside) and 3-2-1 Blast off!!!
