The Christmas season is quickly approaching, and the children are already showing excitement for the Christmas holiday and everything that goes along with it. Some children told us all about Santa and his arrival by helicopter at the mall. They have also started to sing Christmas songs like “Jingle Bells.” During the month of December, we will talk a lot more about this hot topic that has become an interest in our room.
Last month the children in our room, showed an interest in animals of all kinds. The children were often found singing “Old MacDonald Had A Farm” and playing with the zoo animals. To extend this interest we took out animal play sets, puzzles, and books. We also talked a lot about animals, the sounds they make and where they can be found.
Just a reminder, Story Book E.L.C. will be OPEN on Mon, Dec. 23rd, 2019. We will be CLOSED from Dec. 24th – Jan. 1st (for the holidays). We will re-open on Thurs. Jan 2nd, 2020. Please let the staff know of any changes to your child’s schedule.
