Peach Room News

This will be our last month together in the Peach Room. The children are ready to move on to Kindergarten and we are grateful to have been a part of their early years.

You learn a lot in preschool. For most children, it is their first experience as part of a group of peers. Children form friendships; they learn to listen to others and their ideas. They discover that sometimes the thoughts of others are different than their own and that is ok. If only we adults could see the world through the eyes of a child.

The children are making the sounds of fireworks by hitting different objects with the rhythm sticks. We will continue to explore this interest by inviting the children to experiment with sound.

“As soon as children find something that interests them they lose their instability and learn to concentrate.”                                                                  ~~Dr. Maria Montessori
