“He puzzled and puzzled till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn’t before. What if Christmas, he thought doesn’t come from a store? What if Christmas perhaps means a little bit more?

~ The Grinch Who Stole Christmas

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and boy are we excited. We will be making our Christmas lists, discussing gift ideas to give our loved ones and eagerly waiting for Santa to arrive with goodies for all our little elves on the nice list.

With all the hustle and bustle the holidays bring, sometimes it is hard to remember the true meaning of Christmas. In addition to our fun holiday games and activities we will be talking about the thought that Christmas is love in action- meaning every time we love, every time we give, it’s Christmas. Christmas magic is silent, you don’t hear it but you sure can feel it and believe it.

This holiday season may the gifts of peace and joy be yours and may happiness dwell around you wherever you go!

We would like to give a warm welcome back to Ms. Jenn who has returned our latchkey program. She is teaching in Ms. Lindsay’s spot while she is on maternity leave.

We will be continuing with winter like experiments such as slime and snow globes. The children will also be continuing with a holiday themed colouring contest and the winner will be able to pick from the treasure box.

We will be busy making holiday crafts, keep an eye out on our bulletin board for all our creations.

Just a reminder Story Book ELC will close Friday December 21st at 6 pm for the Christmas holidays. We will re-open on Wednesday Jan 2nd at 6 am.

Merry Christmas!
