Preschool Room #2

A group of children in the room are Star Wars fans and we wanted to use that interest to expand their knowledge about space. Recently we purchased 2 triple strollers and the boxes that they came in made perfect rocket ships. We added helmets, goggles, flashlights and moon rocks to collect. The children were observed in the role of astronauts. Our puppet theatre served as ground control and the children enjoyed working the control panel. We made rocket ships using the letters in our names, we named the 8 planets and practised counting     10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1……… BLAST OFF!

We are having a toy /canned good drive for the Salvation Army. All donations must be collected by Wednesday December 13th. Boxes for these items are available in the front entrance, if you choose to participate.

Story Book E.L.C will close Friday December 22nd at 6 pm and re-open Tuesday January 2nd at 6 am. We would like to take this opportunity to wish all our families a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. It is our pleasure to share in the joy of seeing Christmas through the children’s eyes.
