Spring Break was a little delayed this year, but it certainly didn’t stop our crew from having fun!  A few extra weeks of waiting, simply meant more time to plan for an activity-filled week!  We had scavenger hunts, jewellery making, lots of “on the spot” action games, interactive story times, talent shows, yoga, and the most entertaining circles!  When combining children ages 4 – 10yrs, you just never knew where their imaginations would take us!  It was a very busy, almost exhausting, week had by all; . . . but in such a fun & fantastic way!  We were sad to see it come to an end, as (once again) we’d have to say good-bye . . . indefinitely.

With online learning commencing in mid-April, our plans for Earth Day celebrations were put on hold.  The JK/SK crew had begun talking about ways to help our planet Earth stay healthy.  Picking up trash (when going for walks), turning off lights (when not in use), recycling, and planting gardens, were just a few of their incredible ideas!  Hopefully, these are all things that our Kindergarten Superstars can practice, while they are learning from home, in the upcoming weeks.

The JK/SK crew were also curious to see whether, or not, April showers really did bring May flowers (as the old saying goes).  But, . . . what about this snow?!?  We were excited to see some tulips and daffodils start peeking up from the soil, but certainly weren’t expecting any more of that fluffy white stuff!  Hoping that our kinder- “gardeners” all take note, of how the snow may have affected the flowers.  Plans to plant our own little container garden will have to wait just a little bit longer, giving us something to look forward to when we can all be together again.

Please know that our JK/SK crew are being thought of, and missed VERY much!  Hoping to be back in the classroom, having fun with all of them, again very soon!  Stay safe!
