Last month the children spent a lot of time talking about and researching the life cycles of frogs and butterflies. The children found frogs very interesting because of their ability to go through amazing changes and their ability to live both in water and on land. We were able to watch tiny caterpillars grow and create their own cocoons in the classroom’s observation tank. The children waited patiently to watch the “Painted Lady Butterflies” emerge with their beautiful orange wings.

As the school year draws to an end, please let the latchkey teachers know of your summer plans. If your child is attending please return your filled out calendar which helps us with scheduling proper staffing over the summer. Also, if your child is attending the Story Book summer program please be sure to bring:

  • Hat
  • Sunscreen
  • Water bottle
  • Running shoes (gym)
  • Lunch (AM and PM snacks are provided)

Just a reminder, please return your re-registration forms to hold your space for the 2018-2019 school year. Thanks!

Story Book Early learning Centre will be closed Monday, August 6th for the Civic holiday. Enjoy!
